Not Alone Radio Program

We are based in Omaha, NE but have members currently from Nebraska, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, South Dakota and Texas.  We are striving to meet the needs of families across the country.  If you have information to share or know of contacts please contact us! We also ask for your patience as we grow and build this website to be exactly what we all want and need it to be. From the very beginning of A.S.K., a Family Support Group was established here in Omaha with a NAMI trained facilitator! This group has now been meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday’s since late October 2009 with much success. We now have our own trained facilitators.

We encourage anyone who is dealing with Mental/Behavioral illness in a child/young adult to please register on our website and become a part of a fast growing and hard working group of other families helping families.

MISSION STATEMENT:  Empowering families and communities in order to preserve the family unit by advocating for change through education, support and wraparound services, as well as provide a voice to promote CHANGE within the mental and behavioral health system.

VISION STATEMENT:  That children, minors and adults, along with their family and guardians be treated with compassion and respect as they battle mental and behavioral disorders. United together as the voice of experience for those who live “in the trench” while working toward health reform and permanent change in a positive manner.

Alphabet Soup Kids goal is to assist children and parents by advocating for legislation, providing support groups, and working in conjunction with other agencies for the future of Nebraska.

If you have any questions regarding support for your family, or to find out more information on how you can support this much needed group, always fell free to contact us.
